Second-Cycle Qualification
The applicant must have completed studies corresponding to a second-cycle qualification, including an eligible Master’s, professional or postgraduate/PhD-level degree.
No Job Offer Required
An employment offer is not required when applying for this residence permit, provided all applicable requirements are met.
Financial Maintenance
Applicants must demonstrate bank assets equivalent to at least SEK 13,000 for each month of the requested stay, plus funds for the return journey.
Comprehensive Health Insurance
Comprehensive health insurance valid for care in Sweden is required for the entire period of the stay.
Apply from Outside Sweden
For a first-time application, you must be outside Sweden and receive the decision before entering Sweden.
